Carbon Offset

This is a practice companies use to offset the amount of emissions they are emitting into the atmosphere. The idea behind carbon offsets is to take responsibility for the emissions they generate and support actions that help to reduce their carbon footprint. It is important to keep in mind that carbon offsetting is not a solution to reducing emissions and to look closer into what companies are doing when this term is used. Carbon offsets is a big red flag for greenwashing.
