The EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will heavily impact 60.000 companies within the EU and approx. 10.000 outside of the EU. It went into force start 2023, implementing drastic sustainability reporting requirements, incl. double materiality reporting and in-depth reporting on scope 1, 2, and 3 (value chain/supply chain impact). The Green Claims Directive provides strict anti-greenwashing rules that affect any company who voluntary make a marketing or sales claim (B2B and B2C) of the environmental benefits of their products. Any claim will need to be supported by solid evidence (product environmental footprin data). The Green Claims Directive will most likely going into force 2024.
